Dr. Jeff Bland Unplugged #11: Clinical Management of the Sleep-Immune Connection

It is well known that the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) of the hypothalamus is the body’s master clock that orchestrates circadian rhythms including sleep cycling and hunger. What is now being discovered is that the function of the SCN is linked not only to sleep cycles but also the function of the pineal gland and its release of melatonin and their connection to immune system function.

This presentation will highlight recent research and clinical discoveries that demonstrate the bidirectional relationship between sleep and immune system function. This information will frame the presentation of the Big Bold Health Sleep-Immune Hygiene Program.
